I know, I know. You haven’t seen a post in a week. Kind of unusual. I’ve just been in a funk. Nothing terrible – just not totally myself. E. was sick. J. hasn’t called. I’m reflecting on our upcoming anniversary and E.’s October birthday. I’m feeling buried under a mounting To-Do list (as I write this I’ve discovered E. has unfolded an entire load of laundry). The past week has been a big woe-is-me sigh, and I’ve just felt completely uninspired…okay, honestly, I’m on the verge of tears, but I just want this whine to be over. I’m gonna go eat worms.
…we interrupt this pity party for an "inspired" reminder (and blessing): My Little Precious Romping Happily in the Sprinkler.

I have an inexpensive basic Brother my mom bought me. At the time (almost two years ago now) I wanted to finish a small blanket I had started during James’ first deployment years earlier, and I wanted to make a wedding gift blanket for a friend. I kind of “took” to sewing so my mom gave me this machine for my birthday. I think I’ve gotten my use out of it now and I’m ready for something more capable of my ideas.
Dorothy says
What kind of machine do u have now?
Mom - in - law says
Hey C, I think you are on to something here. A new sewing machine is sure to relieve stress and anxiety better than worms or cheesecake. I’ll be the first to volunteer to receive something produced on this new machine. It’s the least I can do. Sign me up!

No, no. I don’t need cheesecake…And I was just kidding about the sewing machine…well, sort of. I’m still hoping for a PARTIAL sewing machine as my Labor Day/Halloween/Bday/Christmas gift (I threw Labor Day and Halloween in there in hopes of getting it sooner, hahaha).
Mom says
*hahaha* Hey there, girlie, I love you oodles and all but a Janome Memory Craft???! All by myself without any help?!!? Yikes!
How’s about I have a cheesecake delivered to your door????
xoxo

Hey there, Give my Aunt and Rick a call and do a day trip to Seattle. Aunt Sue is great to talk to, you know she understands all of this. I miss you and can’t wait to see you! Call me if you want to verbally vent!
Dorothy says
haha…Mom she wants a Janome Memory Craft but u didn’t hear it from ME!!! (snickers quietly)
Go dress up that lil angel of yours and do some retail therpy. Pick up some chocolate or ice cream while u are out!! How about some Ben & Jerry’s..Half Baked, my favorite!
Hope u have a good day today!

Oh, yes, I’m very aware of how many prayers are around our little family & I’m VERY grateful for them. Have been trying not too indulge in this funk too much but I haven’t been able to pull myself out of it. Maybe cheesecake will get me back to myself…or a new sewing machine might do the trick (hint, hint, MOM).
Mom says
Cheesecake??? Did someone say cheesecake??? YUM! Count ME in! (Shhh, be quiet though… don’t want my doctor OR my daughter to hear *smile*)
Mom - in - law says
We used to sing a song about the worms. Let me know if it helps. No Wait! That is only if nobody loves you and everybody hates you which isn’t the case. You are so loved and prayed for often. On the other hand there is cheesecake. That works every time. Hugs and Kisses

Aren’t you nearing the end of this deployment business though? Take heart!

Hugs, Hope u get to feeling better soon!!
