Pretty, right? This is my token Easter decoration. This was actually an inexpensive project: liquid starch ($2.37), embroidery floss (.25/skein), mini balloons (.99), & twigs (free). The landscapers in the neighborhood gave me a confused look; here they were cleaning up the brush and I was taking it home with me!

Yes I was complimenting you. Hey we made some cool things in grade school.

I think this could be done with children.
A couple of tips:
1) Tie the thread for hanging the egg to dry FIRST (not last). I tied mine to a couple of coat hangers.
2) Split some of the embroidery floss threads into half strands, if you have time. And starch them one at a time.
3) I found it kind of difficult to find the “mini oval shaped balloons” – they don’t necessarily describe them this way on the package and apparently they’re not popular enough to carry at Walmart. I found mine at Target – they were the .99 cheapy “assorted balloons” in the party aisle. Basically, if they look tiny, those are it…

What a great idea. I like the simple and cheap ones. Does E. help you with this? I think my other grand children might like this project. Thanks for the idea.

Hey! Were you trying to compliment me or not?! 🙂 Grade school?

Where do your talents stop. I love them. Your making me look bad. Andy said he made something like that in grade school, I never did. I might have to try them with Jack on a nice day.
